These are the newest model with the ridged frame.The Eberlestock X2 is the latest addition to the "X" project. The X2 is a tough little pack with big pack features, like oversized compression straps for lashing on a heavy load and dual hydration compartments and quick access pockets for spotting scopes and tripods. The Eberlestock X2 is ideal for the light and tight ground hunter.  

The new and improved X2 has a lighweught tubular frame, larger pockets and heavier waist band padding. The Eberlestock X2 was always in a class of its own but the new design takes the word "daypack" to a whole new level. The X2 is very versitile allowing you to carry hydration bladders, spotting scopes, tri-pods and either a bow or rifle

Simply put, this is the best day pack I have ever used. the X2 is lighweight yet remains bombproof. I can carry everything that I need for a one day hunt. Awesome pack!

I used to use cheap packs and found out the hard way that using them is a mistake. Eberlestock is the way to go. After buying the X2, I am a happy camper
